Thanks for introducing me to Alan Shields,

I am embarrassed to say, I was not familiar with the work of Alan Shields:
http://www.artcyclopedia.com/artists/shields_alan.html

Excellent artist to introduce with mixed media prints - on handmade paper.
Many of Shield's prints are embossed. Those of you with etching prints
might want to give embossing a try.

I did not research long enough to see if Shields did any of his own
printing. Various print shops are listed.

WOW! check these out at Pace:

Have students do some weaving of their prints - in honor of Shields

Non-objective prints.

Knowing Betty's interest in printmaking, I assumed he made prints.

Thanks for sharing him with us.
