Here's my system for keeping each of my elementary class' artwork as they
are working from week to week:

1. I make folders for each class that are color coded for each day of the
week. Going in rainbow order- Monday's classes all have red folders, Tuesday's
classes have orange, Wed. have yellow, etc.
2. I have three long tables in my room, so each class has three folders in
their day's color in which I keep each child's work according to his/her table.
3. Because I love to "work big" with my kids I have made my folders from
24"x36" construction paper that I run through the laminating machine then fold
in half and staple on the sides. They last all year- even years!
4. On the bottom of each folder I have taped (wide clear packing tape) a
white strip of paper that has the classroom teacher's name and the table #.
5. I stack all the same color folders together according to color order.
It's sooo easy to find each class' work this way and usually pull out the next
day's folders the night before. Also, it takes very little time to distribute
and collect the work this way.

Good luck- hope my system helps!
