[teacherartexchange] FREE Web Editing Software - check out NVU

Greetings,

I don't remember who was asking......

NVU has received rave reviews from the Ed Tech list and it is FREE -
works on all platforms (just download from the right link)
http://www.nvu.com/index.html

Before purchasing Front Page, give this a try. I use Front Page
because my initial software was free (I did buy the 2000 upgrade -
haven't tried the newest version).

Front Page coding is not the industry standard. I have had all sorts
of trouble trying to get pages to look right in Netscape/Mozilla. I
gave up previewing in both browsers and settled that they looked OK in
IE. Very few Ed Tech list members have had anything kind to say about
Front Page (although they did say that 2003 was better).

I have been using Front Page since January 1999 (took a professional
development class in December 98 using Front Page and one earlier that
year using html code). Never did learn all the bells and whistles that
it can do. I tend to keep the pages simple.

I used Front Page 2000 with 8th graders - just keeping it simple. The
Romare Bearden page on my site was done by one of my students (I just
keep the links up to date).

Happy Web Editing,

Judy Decker
